The term 'vowel purity' is meant to imply the primary use of sound swells, as opposed to transient and percussive hits of most other sounds. So 'vowel' invokes rounded qualities while consonants require degrees of plosives and (what I would consider) other intrusive characteristics that work against this style of music.

This album is likely to be my final ambient release in a long time. I feel with these songs, I accomplished most of what is possible in the genre. The itch has been scratched, as it were.
